Asbestos Risk Management Workshop

G & L Consultancy work in partnership with the Health and Safety Executive to provide the Asbestos Risk Management Workshop.

This workshop is a HSE recommended half day course that aims:

To provide detailed information and guidance about the duty to manage asbestos in non-domestic premises. The duty is regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006.

The workshop includes sessions on:

  • Asbestos facts
  • The duty to manage
  • How to develop a management plan
  • Implementation programme

The workshop is aimed at people who have a role to play in the management of asbestos-containing materials in premises and is important for all those considering how to manage the asbestos in their premises.

Asbestos Awareness Workshop

This workshop is based on the Asbestos Risk Management Workshop, described above, but with the emphasis on session 1, instead of sessions 2 and 3.

This workshop is more often used to comply with the staff training aspect of the Asbestos Management plan, particularly maintenance staff. Once the ACMs have been identified in a premises, the staff who work there need to be informed of the situation and educated about the associated risks - this course is designed for just that purpose.

Each Asbestos Awareness Workshop is tailored to the specific requirements of the premises. The type of ACM and work activities of the occupying staff are taken in to account to provide the most appropriate training possible.
