Half day course suitable for anyone who is or is liable to be exposed to asbestos including electricians, plumbers, maintenance staff, buliding and demolition contractors.

Regulation 10 of 'The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006' places a duty on employers to ensure that any employee who is liable to be exposed to asbestos receives adequate training. This course covers the following topics: Introduction to Asbestos, Health Effects of Asbestos, Asbestos Legislation and Asbestos Containing Materials.

  BOHS P405 - Management of Asbestos in Buildings

A four day course with a further day of written and practical examinations. A successful completion of the examinations will lead to a: 'PROFICIENCY CERTIFICATE' in MANAGEMENT OF ASBESTOS IN BUILDINGS.

 

The BOHS P405 course is recommended for those wishing to comply with regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 - The Duty to Manage. The course provides a practical knowledge and the skills at be able to manage asbestos in buildings and to provide a basic knowledge of asbestos removal procedures.

A two day course covering modules 1 to 19 and 24 to 27 of Chapter 4 of HSG247; Asbestos: The Licensed Contractors' Guide.

Regulation 10 of 'The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006' places a duty on employers to ensure that any employee who is liable to be exposed to asbestos receives adequate training. This course includes the required training at the appropriate level of detail in order for Licensed Asbestos Contractors to comply.

  Training for Non-licensable Asbestos Removal Work

Half day course suitable for anyone whose work will knowingly disturb asbestos containing materials, such as maintenance workers and their supervisors. (Candidates must have a valid asbestos awareness certificate)

Regulation 10 of 'The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006' places a duty on employers to ensure that any employee who is liable to be exposed to asbestos receives adequate training and there is an increased duty on those employees who will knowingly disturb asbestos containing materials through the course of their work. This course covers the following topics: Introduction to Asbestos, Health Effects of Asbestos, Asbestos Containing Materials, Asbestos Legislation, Responsibilities, Risk Assessments & Plans of Work, Methods & Equipment and HSE Task Sheets.

Half day course suitable for anyone having had or is planning an asbestos survey or asbestos management plan

This course is recommended for those wishing to comply with regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 - The Duty to Manage. This course covers the following topics: Introduction to Regulation 4, Legislation, Asbestos Surveys, Asbestos Risk Assessment and Asbestos Management Plan.

  Introduction to Asbestos Remediation

Half day course suitable for any Duty Holder having had or planning to have any asbestos removal or remediation project take place at their premises.

This course is recommended for Duty Holders under Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 - The Duty to Manage. The course provides a basic knowledge of asbestos remediation projects including removal techniques and plans of work. This course covers the following topics: Introduction, Legislation, Removal Works and the Role of the Laboratory and Analyst.
