- This refresher course covers every topic in the full asbestos awareness course, only in shorter detail. The duration is approximately 2.5 hours. Refresher courses are recommended to be carried out every 12 months and covers people who work near asbestos but does not cover working with asbestos in any way. To be eligible for the refresher course, every delegate needs to have undertaken a full asbestos awareness course within the last 2 years.
- Regulation 10 of ‘The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012’ places a duty on employers to ensure that all employees who are liable to be exposed to asbestos receive adequate information, instruction, and training. This includes but is not limited to: demolition workers, construction workers, general maintenance staff, electricians, plumbers, gas fitters, painters and decorators, joiners, plasterers, roofers, heating and ventilation engineers, telecommunication engineers, fire and burglar alarm installers, computer installers, architects, building surveyors, shopfitters and other such professionals.
