This course covers the following topics: Introduction to Asbestos, Health Effects of Asbestos, Asbestos Legislation, Asbestos Containing Materials, Emergency Procedures and Avoiding the Risks of Asbestos.
The Asbestos Awareness course takes half a day to complete and is the standard training course for people who work near asbestos but does not cover working with asbestos in any way. For this level of work, please see Working with Non-Licensed Asbestos.

This includes but is not limited to: demolition workers, construction workers, general maintenance staff, electricians, plumbers, gas fitters, painters and decorators, joiners, plasterers, roofers, heating and ventilation engineers, telecommunication engineers, fire and burglar alarm installers, computer installers, architects, building surveyors, shopfitters and other such professionals.
Combine with Duty to Manage Asbestos in Non-Domestic Premises
The Asbestos Awareness course can be combined with the Duty to Manage Asbestos in Non-Domestic Premises course. This makes it a full day course taking up the morning and afternoon.
