Enclosure Exit / Entry & Decontamination Training provides operatives with the knowledge for the decontamination procedures, following work with asbestos within enclosures.

Course Content

This course is designed to provide you with knowledge of working within a licensed asbestos contaminated area.

Course Requirements

There are no requirements for this course.

The syllabus comprises of the following sections:

  • Introduction to asbestos
  • Health effects of asbestos
  • Asbestos legislation
  • Asbestos containing materials
  • Emergency procedures
  • Avoiding the risks of asbestos
  • Respiratory protective equipment
  • Personal protective equipment and clothing
  • Transit procedure and decontamination

Who is the course for?

Anyone who will be entering a licensed contaminated area as part of their work.

How long is the course?

The course runs over one day. Candidates must complete a short assessment at the end of the course.


A successful completion of the course allows candidates to undertake asbestos licensed works in accordance with the Control of Asbestos regulations 2012 and all associated Codes of practice.
