There are no specific requirements for this course. However, it can be advantageous to have an awareness of HSG53 Respiratory Protective Equipment at Work
The syllabus comprises of six sections:
- Respirator Hazards
- Selection of Respiratory Protection Equipment
- Wearing Respiratory Protecting Equipment
- Fitting Respiratory Protecting Equipment
- Employees Employer Obligations
- Legal Requirements

For anyone who needs to be the competent person in a company e.g. Health & Safety managers.
How long is the course?
The course requires at least 3 hours of study time – training needs analysis (may highlight additional hours).
Completion
Candidates who successfully pass a formative practical and examination will be presented with a Certificate
