This would normally include, but is not limited to duty holder’s assistants, appointed persons assistants, building owners, landlords, managing agents etc. and any person assisting duty holders in the compliance with CAR 2012 regulation 4.

It is a requirement that the delegate has undertaken a full Asbestos Awareness course within 6 months of the date of the Duty to Manage training course. If this has not been undertaken, then the asbestos awareness can be organised for the same day. It is advised that this is refreshed every 12 months.

Regulation 4 of ‘The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012’ states that owners and occupiers of non-domestic premises, who have maintenance and repair responsibilities for those premises, have a duty to assess them for the presence of asbestos and the condition of that asbestos.
